Strongroom Bar

Strongroom is a distinctive, independently owned bar and late-night venue, featuring the largest beer garden in Shoreditch.

Originally opening in 1997, it was established to serve pints to musicians and engineers from the onsite recording studios. At the time, the area had only a handful of greasy spoons and traditional pubs, providing little choice for the creative community in need of a local gathering spot.

Today, Strongroom boasts Shoreditch’s biggest courtyard, welcoming guests and their dogs—though all dogs must be kept on a lead to ensure a comfortable environment for all visitors.

Despite the rapid transformation of Shoreditch over the years, Strongroom has remained fiercely independent and community-driven. Run by a dedicated team and surrounded by an inspiring mix of artists and creative businesses, it continues to be a hidden gem in the heart of East London.
