A proverbial stone’s throw from the station, our tiny (but mighty) wine bar in Liverpool Street combines modern fittings with original brickwork, a relaxed atmosphere and range of over 400 artisan wines; all sourced directly from vineyards around the world.
We visited for their Halloween Special with our French Bulldog. The staff were amazing and really accommodating for our dog. We were given perfect suggestions for wine and they got to know our taste. We had planned be there for dinner, so ordered a few starters. Overall the taste was delicious, but portions were small for the price. I’d highly recommend the baked camembert it was outstanding! I had high hopes for a steak, but as there were a couple of big groups in, sadly they didn’t have any left. This is not great, since we perhaps should have been asked before the big group ordered what we wanted, even if we were not ready to eat at that moment. As the other options were of no interest to me, I ended up with the baked camembert for my main. I always ask myself, would I go back? Yes, but. I’d go for a few drinks and some a snack, but I would not go for dinner again. It is a wonderful place to meet with friends, great atmosphere and truly great wine. The kitchen dose a lot in such a small space, but to me the portions needed to be bigger and you should not run out of food. I’d highly recommend it to any dog owner in the area. You will not be disappointed!
They were really welcoming and didn’t make me feel bad for coming along with my dog, I particularly liked it because they offered non-alcoholic wine options too so I could still partake, even though it was dry January!
