Enjoy with your furry friends, canine and not.
We all know that having a dog by your side makes you instantly more attractive – just look how cute we are! Don’t just take our word for it – the science says you could be three times more successful at attracting a lover, when accompanied by a canine companion! With so many great dog friendly spots across the city, there’s no need for the humans to be the only ones having all the fun.
Don’t forget though – with any date it’s important to be looking your best, whether on two legs or four. Use Wagit to find available groomers and make sure your fluffy companion’s all dolled up and ready to go.
Here are six ideas for activities that are perfect for you and your pooch.
1 – Watch a movie at a drive in cinema:
Going to see a film is a classic date night option, and a drive-in cinema gives you the chance to relax in front of the big screen from the comfort of your own car. And the best bit? We can stay and snuggle in there with you!
The Drive In has a range of films showing, whilst the Rooftop Film Club even has special dog friendly screenings, with helpings of pup popcorn to tuck into.
2 – Take in the views of the London skyline:
If you’re after some breathtaking views (and a slightly breathtaking climb, too!) a trip up to Primrose Hill is a great spot for dates and dogs alike. Plus, the park has loads of space for us to sniff out, and maybe even find a doggy date of our own! For that extra romantic feeling, wait until the evening to watch the sunset over the city.
If you don’t fancy packing a picnic, then why not book in for something to eat at the nearby York and Albany – one of Gordon Ramsay’s dog friendly restaurants. Or you could pack our favourite blankets and pick up some of their takeaway street pizzas.
Use Wagit to book yourself a spot.
3 – Visit a restaurant for a cute brunch date:
If hilltop views aren’t quite your idea of a great date (some of us only have little legs!) then a laid back brunch might be more your style.
M Victoria Street is a multi-award winning steak restaurant that also offers up exciting brunch options for a relaxed late morning meal. Even better, they also have a special dog menu too – although that doesn’t mean we won’t still be eying up your plate.
4 – Try some of London’s best wine selection:

For the sophisticated pup about town looking to wine and dine your date, visiting one of the Humble Grape’s wine bars would be the ideal dog-friendly option. They have venues across London and a selection of over 400 wines – and plenty of space for dogs!
5 – Hop on a boat
For a different date option, swap land for water and take the weight off your paws. Get a new perspective on some of London’s most iconic landmarks with a boat trip along the Thames, just make sure to keep us safe on the lead. Uberboat by Thames Clippers allows dogs and humans on their vessels, and there’s even a bar on board!
For something a little more intimate, GoBoat gives you and your pup the chance to hire your own boat and sail around some of the city’s prettiest locations.

Or, if adventure’s what you’re after – and you’re not afraid to get your paws wet – why not opt for a canoe trip instead?
6 – Take a stroll around one of the city’s markets:
A street market can be the ideal place for you and your date to find a bite to eat – even for the pickiest eater. Lots of the markets across london are happy to welcome four legged friends, which is perfect for sniffing out all the tasty treats!
A great place to start is Old Spitalfields Market, with everything from crafts and antiques to a selection of street food to get your mouth drooling and tail wagging. Or, you could head a little bit further south and check out Borough Market for a huge variety of food from across the world. Dogs are plentiful here so there’ll be lots of butts for us to sniff while you’re enjoying the aromas of freshly cooked chow.
